| | Protease Inhibition Assay |
| Description: | The inhibition assays were performed in microtiter plate wells by mixing enzyme and fluorescent peptide substrate in the presence of inhibitor compounds. The increase of fluorescence was detected using fluorimeter-luminometer. Ki values were calculated from the IC50 values estimated from a dose-response curve with the fluorescent assay using the equation Ki = (IC50 - [E]/2)/ (1 +[S]/Km), where [E] and [S] are the protease and substrate concentrations. |
