| Description: | Inhibition of the matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2, MMP-3, and MMP-8 has been determined by continuously monitoring the hydrolysis of the fluorescent substrate. The hydrolysis was followed by measuring the increase in relative fluorescence at 393 nm (excitation at 328 nm) due to the formation of product. Data analysis has been performed by assuming a reversible inhibition with rapid binding of the enzyme to the inhibitor. |
