Description: | The structure-activity relationship and optimization studies have led to the discovery of selective T-type calcium channel blockers, e.g., compound 9. As used herein, the term T-type calcium channel blocker refers to a compound that can modulate, in particular inhibit or reduce activation of T-type calcium channels. In some embodiments, the IC50 of compounds of the invention for inhibiting T-type calcium channel is about 10 μM or less, typically about 2 μM or less, and often about 1 μM or less. The term about refers to ±20%, typically ±10%, and often ±5% of the numeric value. |
