Description: | The assay was carried out at room temperature for 10 min with salivary alpha-amylase, starch, and test compounds. The reducing sugar was determined by the Nelson-Somogyi procedure by measuring the absorbance at 540 nm. The potency of the inhibition was determined by IC50 values and maximum percentage of inhibition. |
