| Description: | Calpain inhibition assays were performed in 96-well black plates. The reaction was initiated by the addition of substrate solution. The progress of the reaction was followed for 10 min in a (BMG) Fluorostar with excitation at 485 nm and emission at 530 nm. The percentage inhibition was determined as 100 times the activity with inhibitor present divided by the activity of the control assay. The reported IC50 values are the average of triplicate determinations. |
