| Description: | The potency of the compound toward kinase activity was determined using a Dowex resin-based assay. The substrate was phosphorylated by kinase in the presence of ATP/ [gamma-33P] ATP. After the reaction, an acidic suspension of Dowex resin was added. The unreacted ATP is captured and separated from the supernatant which contains the phosphorylated substrate. It is then transferred onto a new plate for radioactivity counting. |
