| Description: | The binding affinities (Ki) of compounds were determined using fluorescence polarization assays (FPA) that measure their ability to competitively displace a Bad-derived peptide from Bcl-xL. IC50 values were binding affinities measured in the presence of 10% human serum. Compound efficacy (EC50) in a cellular context was evaluated by testing their ability to reverse the protection from cytokine withdrawal afforded by overexpression of Bcl-xL in the IL-3 dependent murine pro-B cell line FL5.12. |
